MENO Home

This summer, we welcomed the sustainable furniture brand, MENO Home, to the roundup of stunning retailers on the Block. The Greek root of MENO describes a symbiotic state of dwelling. This positive, circular relationship embodies the ethos of MENO Home as they look to improve the relationships between people and the objects they dwell amongst.

As the brain-child of 10-year furniture industry design veteran, Jerri Hobdy, MENO Home focuses on waste reduction, climate-friendly materials, and lowering the carbon footprint of the industry. Jerri learned early on that climate and material impact was not a priority for most brands, thus beginning her research into the future of home furnishing design.

The method is simple: source as close to the point of manufacture as possible, use as many regenerative or natural materials as possible, and limit resources used to produce, like water. That means no plastics (ever!), using Forest Stewardship Council-certified wood, and embracing innovative materials like cactus leather from Mexico.

Furniture Designer, Jerri Hobdy, founded MENO in 2018 with the goal of setting a course for sustainable design and products. She studied furniture design at The Savannah College of Art and Design. "Right now, MENO Home is myself, my brand manager in LA, two part-time sales associates in Denver, my kick-ass publicist… and that is it! We are self-funded, 100% women-owned, and we are growing! ... Our goal is to continue to build a healthy business at a healthy pace so we can continue to be design-led and make decisions that best serve our customers and our planet."
