Dairy Block – LoDo’s vibrant new micro-district that celebrates the maker – is excited to be participating in RiNo’s CRUSH WALLS 2019 with a new mural installation by Nick Napoletano.
For the past 10 years, CRUSH WALLS has been taking art to the streets of RiNo, highlighting an eclectic mix of local, national and international artists. The Dairy Block installation by Napoletano is the first official CRUSH activation taking place outside of RiNo.
Napoletano’s 40 foot by 16 foot installation will be prominently displayed in the Dairy Block Alley under the legendary HERE Mirror by Collin Parson. Napoletano will be on-site painting from Wednesday, Sept. 4th – Monday, Sept. 9th.
Based in North Carolina, Napoletano is a painter, muralist and designer known for hyperrealist works brimming with allegory and symbolism. He uses the human figure as “a vehicle to explore and document various facets of the human condition as they relate to both the individual and the universal whole.” Community growth and dialogue are a main component of Napoletano’s agenda; his installations are meant to function as a mirror, identifying a truth about the community, while paving the way for positive change.
