Women in Their Infinite Forms

Denver Milk Market and Dairy Block present Galentine’s Day: part art walk, part boozy brunch. This celebration is Leslie Knope-approved.

On Saturday, February 13th come down to Denver Milk Market and enjoy brunch all day, including plenty of cocktails, as you toast to the special gals in your life (but all are welcome…who can resist a waffle with whipped cream anyway?)

Check out a special [sneak peak] piece of art, on display in the market, that will lead into a series of (wo)mannequin art pieces around the block, created by local woman-identifying artists who are in partnership with Athena Project. The artists will be transforming (wo)mannequins into life-size art, telling the story of female reinvention and power through the years.

The art pieces will be on display (and for sale) throughout Dairy Block establishments through March 31st. View more details HERE.

Denver Milk Market will then be hosting an Art Strut on Saturday, March 13th, where all (wo)mannequins will be on display in the Alley for purchase. More details to come on this!

About Athena Project:

Athena Project empowers women through the arts and creates a world with gender equity where women’s voices are amplified. Programs include our Plays In Progress Series showcasing the contributions of women playwrights from the earliest stages of new play development; Curating Art for Impact authentically connecting brand or mission to stakeholders in a thoughtful and engaging way; Artists’ Night Out connecting our community in an open mic type forum allowing artists to give and receive feedback on projects as well as hold space for conversations around the unique challenges of being an artist; Girls Create summer intensive week-long camps exploring various art forms, which culminates in final performances shared with friends, family, and the public. This program empowers girls to lead and effect change in themselves and others through creative learning.
