The West Trails
Dairy Block is excited to partner with Inside Her Studio on a pop up art gallery located off of The Alley from May-September 2021!
Each month will host a different theme – the first month [May] being: The West Trails.
The West Trails Gallery will highlight work by:
– Laura Goodson; Laura’s work is dominated by bold, hat wearing cowboys, bandits and outlaws. A modern representation of western figures of the past and occasionally their unforgiving landscapes, she lets the depth of her characters and their journey come through bold lines and hard shadowing to emphasize physical pain and grit endured by emotional discourse and hardship.
– Lori Ruiz; Lori explores the icons of the American West and the diminishing presence of wild spaces. Through watercolor & mixed media painting, she tells a story of the past, present, and future. Juxtaposing realistic portraiture and minimalistic geometric background she hints at the tension between man and nature.
– Jess Rose; Jay Davis Bags, Jess’ art-to-wear handbag line, continues to grow annually and while that has been fueling her soul, something bigger inside was brewing. Jess comes naturally to storytelling – her intention is to share those moments through her work. She has a passion for color & texture which is reflected in her large scale leather art.
The West Trails gallery kicks off in collaboration with the First Friday Art Walk, on Friday, May 7th.
Hours of operation are as follows:
– Tuesday – Saturday: 11AM-7PM
– Sunday: 12-5PM
– Closed on Mondays
