You may not have heard of Heaven Hill, but friends, believe me when I say, you've had their brands. Founded just after the repeal of Prohibition by the Shapira family and Joseph Beam (cousin of Jim Beam), Heaven Hill now holds the second-largest inventory of bourbon in the world.

We will just be focusing on the wheat part, including both wheated bourbons and wheat whiskey. Wheated bourbons are special kinds of bourbons. Most bourbons use rye as a secondary grain, but with wheated bourbons, the rye is replaced by wheat. As a result, you get bourbons that don't have that sharp, spiciness to them, but rather a rounded, lighter taste.
